A Public Golf Experience with Local Character
Plumas Lake Golf Club is a semi-private golf course open to the public, which means you can book a tee time and enjoy the course without needing to be a member.
The course has been part of the local golf community since 1926, and that history shows in the layout. Instead of a generic modern course, you get mature oak trees, natural strategy, walkable terrain, and a comfortable club atmosphere.
For golfers looking for public golf near Olivehurst, Marysville, Yuba City, or the greater Sacramento Valley, Plumas Lake offers a round that feels both relaxed and memorable.
What You Can Expect on the Course
Plumas Lake Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course with a traditional Sacramento Valley feel.
The course plays about 6,200 yards from the White Tees, making it approachable for a wide range of players. It is not exceptionally long or hilly, so it is also a good option if you enjoy walking.
But approachable does not mean boring.
You will need to think your way around the course. Mature oak trees shape many holes, Bermuda fairways reward solid ball striking, and a drainage canal comes into play on 12 of 18 holes. The greens were renovated with hybrid bent grass surfaces, giving your short game and putting plenty of chances to matter.
Warm Up Before Your Round
A good round often starts before the first tee.
Plumas Lake Golf Club offers practice facilities where you can loosen up, sharpen your short game, or spend time improving between rounds. The facility includes a driving range with 300 yards of landing area, 12 hitting stalls, a chipping green, a practice putting green, and a practice hole for shots from 100 yards and in.
Stop by before your tee time, roll a few putts, hit a bucket, and give yourself the best chance to enjoy your round from the first swing.
